When requesting scholarship funds from the AOCSC

1. All requests should be submitted using the scholarship application form provided on this website. See link below.

2. All requests should be submitted electronically as an attachment to aocscscholarship@gmail.com

3. All requests must be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. on the day of the deadline.

Adult Continuing Education Scholarship

AOCSC Scholarship Application Deadline: April 7, 2017

Adult Continuing Education Student Eligibility

    • Dependents that are continuing education students (currently enrolled in a degree program) of Armed Forces personnel assigned to Aviano AB.
      • Armed Forces personnel are defined as members currently serving on active duty in any branch of the United States Military. This includes members of the National Guard or Reserve Corps assigned to Aviano AB and on active duty orders at the time of application.
    • Dependents that are continuing education students of civilian personnel assigned to Aviano AB and retired military personnel are eligible.
    • If military member is deceased, applicant must provide proof of military benefits based on the family relationship to the deceased military member.
    • All applicants’ sponsors must reside within a 50-mile radius of Aviano AB.
    • Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale.
    • Applicants must be pursuing a technical, associate, undergraduate or graduate degree and must be actively enrolled in classes during the session dates published on aocsc.com/scholarships
    • Applicants are eligible for up to two session scholarships per year (year defined as June – May).
    • AOCSC members and their families are encouraged to apply, but will not receive any preferential treatment.

Scholarship Application

The AOCSC provides scholarships each term to family members of U.S. Military or DoD Civilian sponsors. Scholarships are provided for undergraduate and graduate students. The purpose of this scholarship program is to assist adult students in their pursuits of higher education.

All applicants must complete the following form and a Field Advisor must sign the form.

A Field Advisor is the academic advisor or mentor associated with the intended program of study at the college or university attended.  If the classes are through a university online, please have an educational advisor email the address below to confirm enrollment status. AWAG Annual Seminar

Every spring attendees travel from throughout Europe to gather for an intensive seminar to help them develop their skills, network with other leaders and gather ideas to bring back to their local communities. Each session is facilitated by an individual well-qualified in a particular area; entrepreneurship, resume building, board positions, group dynamics, or volunteer management. There are also opportunities for networking with other leaders.
